This kind of mist eliminator separates particle droplets from the airflow via inertial impact. To draw droplets, rows of parallel plates—also known as chevrons—are arranged in a zigzag pattern.


Fiber Bed Mist Eliminator

Consider a fibre bed mist eliminator for industrial procedures that create smaller particle droplets. These only work with horizontal gas streams and function very similarly to wire mesh mist eliminators. Cylindrical mist eliminators for filter beds are used. The cylinder is made by rolling an inner and an outer screen and then attaching plates or flanges to either end for installation and draining.
